“Has a Real Passion”: Wayne Gretzky Backed Daughter Paulina to Follow Her Mother’s Footsteps in 2005

The world is a wild place out there, and getting out as a star kid isn’t easy. The same rules are applied to Paulina Gretzky, who is the first daughter of Wayne Gretzky. Gretzky always had a high level of responsibility for raising kids. The critics are like predators, always on the hunt, and he is a man who takes zero risks. Paulina on her side also had a lot of responsibilities as people always kept expectations from her being the first child of ‘the Great One’.

In an interview back in 2005, Wayne Gretzky was interviewed about her daughter Paulina. Gretzky successfully shielded his kid from being bombarded with questions after she signed up for the Flare magazine cover shoot.

The Great One was hit with a wave of nostalgia. Years before, his wife Janet Jones, who was also a Hollywood actress and model, did pose for Flare magazine.

“Paulina has a real passion for singing, acting as well as modeling, so Janet and I have always encouraged her to work hard and follow her dreams,” Gretzky said as per the report by Chicago Tribune. Daughter Paulina just wanted to follow in the same footsteps as her mother. She aspired to be as successful as she was. Jones’ earliest act goes back to 1979 when she appeared for the first time in the TV series ‘Dance Fever’. She mostly acted in many TV shows and starred in the infamous Playboy magazine in 1987.

Gretzky respected her daughter’s decision a lot. He didn’t become a hurdle for her to pursue her modeling career, just like her mother. Although he open-heartedly supported her in every way possible. Gretzky knew there would be critics about her daughter not being a sports icon just like him, but that didn’t bother him at all.

Current life of Paulina Gretzky

Just after her modeling career debut in 2005, Paulina Gretzky became an emerging star. She received a lot of TV show offers, modeling contracts, and whatnot! She has also been involved in brand endorsements and is an entrepreneur.

Currently, she is married to ace golfer Dustin Johnson and is enjoying her life in her luxurious Florida mansion with her husband and her two sons, Tatum and River. She doesn’t have fixed work as she is always searching for new and better opportunities while also being a good wife and mother.
