Washington Capitals left winger Sonny Milano is enjoying his finest weekend ever during the all-star games. The Capitals have extended their left winger’s contract by three years. The average yearly value of Milano’s deal will be $1.9 million. The deal was decided upon by Capitals general manager Brian MacLellan, who shared the good news yesterday.
With a goal of making it to the Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Washington Capitals are presently fourth in the Metropolitan Division. In order to ease the burden on the squad, Brian MacLellan has made the decision to extend Sonny Milano’s contract. Forward Dylan Strome was also handed a five-year, $25 million contract extension, which he joyfully accepted. Just like Dylan Strome did, Sonny Milano has adapted well to the Capitals. He will now be worth $1.9 million through the 2025–26 season. Since joining the Capitals on a one-year contract after the start of the current season, Milano, now 26 years old, has been a near-perfect value acquisition. After that, he played in 40 games, scoring eight goals and adding fourteen assists for a total of twenty-two points.
