The intense action had already started in the first period, as in the 16th minute, Sharks forward Oskar Lindblom scored the first goal of the match. But the equalizer was scored by the Hurricanes’ Calvin de Haan just two minutes after the first goal. The first period ended 1-1, and the score remained the same till the end of the second period as both goaltenders were just too good for the wingers.
The third period started with Sebastian Aho’s goal in the 41st minute of the game. This goal was enough to trigger the Sharks, as they went on to score after that. Sharks’ center Nick Bonino scored an equalizer for his team in the 47th minute. The third goal for the Sharks was scored by Michael Eyssimont, and in the heat, he also assisted Mario Ferraro, who scored the fourth goal for the Sharks in the 59th minute.
