As the FEI World Cup competitions in Dressage and Jumping gear up towards the final in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in April, anticipation grows. With Jumping and Dressage making their European return in Basel and the North American League for Jumping resuming in late January in Puebla. Defending champions Henrik von Eckermann and Jessica von Bredow-Werndl could dominate if they compete in Riyadh from April 16-20. It looks to be that 2024 is set to embolden viewers in the equestrian world with its razzmatazz, talent and mirth.

Longines League of Nations and FEI Nations Cup is here to stay

FEI Global recently posted an intriguing update on Instagram. The caption whimsically begins with, Oh, ‘hay’ there, 2024!” This post unveils the exciting events lined up in this year’s equestrian calendar. The new Longines League of Nations, in collaboration with FEI’s top partner Longines, commences its journey in Abu Dhabi on February 8-11, culminating in the grand finale set in Barcelona in October. Along the way, the series makes stops in Ocala, Florida (March), St Gallen, Switzerland (May), and Rotterdam, The Netherlands (June), leading to the ultimate showdown involving eight teams in Barcelona from October 3-6. Simultaneously, the FEI Dressage Nations Cup and FEI Eventing Nations Cup make a highly anticipated return.

The Eventing contest kicks off in mid-March at Montelibretti and concludes in Boekelo in October. Meanwhile, the Dressage series commences in late February in Wellington, makes its way to Compiegne in early May, and wraps up its thrilling journey in Falsterbo on July 14. The exciting culmination arrives just a few weeks before the world turns its attention to France for the highly anticipated Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Equestrian events and paralympic showdown

Equestrian events at the Paris 2024 Olympics promise an exhilarating display of skill and competition. The schedule is packed with thrilling moments: Eventing kicks off on July 27, crowning Team and Individual medalists in just two days. Following this, Dressage takes centre stage from July 30 to the Team and Individual finals on August 3 and 4, respectively. Jumping enthusiasts can anticipate the action starting on August 1, and culminating in the Individual final on August 6.

Meanwhile, the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games (Sept 3-7) feature fierce competitions in individual and freestyle events. New champions will also be crowned in vaulting (July 15-21), FEI Driving World Championship (Sept 4-8, Hungary), and FEI Endurance World Championship (Sept 7, France).
