“We Miss Him Terribly”: Equestrian Community Left Devastated by the Loss of ‘Incredible Gentle’ Giving Horse

The equestrian sport dates back to more than a century, making it one of the oldest Olympic sports. The rider has to have a special connection with the horse in order to succeed to the highest levels. Yet, since death is a part of nature as well as life, the loss of such creatures causes great sorrow not just to their owners but also to the fans.

The recent passing of a horse known as ‘Zip’ has generated a lot of attention. The Miracles In Motion Therapeutic Equestrian Ctr’s official Facebook page first shared the upsetting news. The fans in the comment section were also saddened by the loss of such a remarkable creature.

It will be remembered forever

The Facebook page dedicated to the horse shared many photographs of Zip along with a lengthy caption. The page’s dedication to the horse in every way demonstrated the group’s deep affection for the animal. The first image is a close-up of the horse’s face, capturing the animal’s captivating gaze. The next image demonstrates the extreme care with which Zip’s saddle was replaced. It’s also possible to see Zip grazing in the field. Pictures of Zip delicately transporting kids on its back are displayed thereafter. All the photos consistently demonstrated the group’s deep affection for the horse.

In the Facebook post, the page left a tribute for the horse, saying, “This was a sad week for Miracles. It is always hard when one of herd is no longer physically with us. Zip was an incredible gentle giving horse. His soothing eyes could calm any of us or our students. Zip was a favorite in either Adaptive Riding or Hippotheraphy. When you looked in the pasture for Zip his best friend was always near, Lucky one of our miniatures. I know when we walk the pastures, Zip’s spirit is with us.”

The equestrian world mourns

It didn’t take long for the Facebook post to go viral, and soon hundreds of horse lovers flocked to the page to share their condolences.

Even though Zip has taken its last breath, the community hopes that it is still venturing fields in horse heaven, as one comment read, “SO INCREDIBLY SORRY FOR YOUR DEEP LOSS! Undoubtedly running happily in the vast heavenly pastures!” The page also replied to this comment, saying, “He is! We miss him terribly but know he is doing well now.”

A rider with whom Zip shared a bond said, “Zip loved his life at Miracles and was a true friend!” Another comment, however, appreciated the pictures of the horse that were shared after its death, saying, “Zip was a sweetie. The photos you shared are wonderful!”

As the equestrian community gathers to mourn the loss of the loved creature, Zip is likely to be remembered by the several people seen tending to it in the pictures.
