The Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation’s Quick Call on Sunday was dominated by horses of the highest caliber. Uncashed, a 3-year-old thoroughbred, kept his undefeated record intact on the dirt equestrian racing course. Despite the muddy track, the $175,000 prize money in the Quick Call Stakes at Saratoga, New York, was calling to the thoroughbred. Trainer Larry Rivelli is well-known, while winning jockey Irad Ortiz, Jr., is most recognized for riding the pre-race favorite of the Kentucky Derby, Forte. The horse’s rider clearly had a firm grasp on the reins, but the winner of the Quick Call Stakes was the one who galloped over the finish line.

The news of Uncashed’s triumph in Sunday’s contest quickly spread throughout social media. The three-year-old stallion flew around the dirt track like a winged pegasus, so naturally, the video went viral.

The Quick Call Stakes (Grade 3) was run over a short distance of 5 1/2 furlongs, or about 0.6 miles. The gates opened, and the horses raced past one another, each seeking to pass without leaving the course. However, as shown in the trending Twitter video, Uncashed had a sizable lead over the other horses from the outset. However, as they neared the bend, Kigali passed Uncashed, and Acoustic Ave gained ground to pass both of them. Uncashed and Acoustic Ave raced head-to-head around the bend, and the spectators at the Saratoga race track went berserk.

After that turn, though, the whole race took another path. The other horses in the race couldn’t keep up with Uncashed, so he got all the attention. Like a Red Bull Formula One vehicle on any racetrack, Uncashed was invincible on the straightaway of the equestrian racing track. Uncashed showed off his incredible pace to win by 5 3/4 lengths over Joey Freshwater in second and Two of a Kind in third on dirt, extending his winning streak to four races in a row. The horse’s preparation under trainer Larry Rivelli paid off, as it went on to win the race and bring in $175,000 for their business.

The three-year-old Thoroughbred is currently on a winning run, and he has a lot of potential for future success if his training is maintained.

A stellar equestrian career

Uncashed shocked the horse racing world on September 13, 2022, when he won his first race and took home the Maiden Special Weight at Louisiana Downs. A year after finishing second in the Allowance Optional Claiming at Hawthorne, the stallion won the Allowance at the same track this year. The stallion hasn’t lost a race since then.

After taking the Allowance, Uncashed went on to win the Golden Circle Stakes at Prairie Meadows in Altoona that same month. The horse continued his winning streak with a Quick Call Stakes triumph. With the support of his well-respected trainer, Larry Rivelli, Uncashed has won $182,450 in his racing career thus far and is looking forward to future races.
