Third Time Games and NBC Sports teamed up for the second year in a row to produce a 3D recreation of the Kentucky Derby. Using their technology, Photo Finish LIVE, they were able to accurately simulate the Churchill Downs racetrack and the 20 horses that were participating in it. Everything about this virtual race, from the regulations to the horses, is the same as any other. Since there is no possibility of disqualification due to any incident that might occur in a real race, this also raises the probability of individuals wagering on virtual horses. As can be seen from the tweet, the virtual race was a huge success as well.
What an incredible honor it was to once again partner with @NBCSports to deliver a @photofinishgame-powered 3D simulation of the @KentuckyDerby for millions of horse racing fans at home to enjoy.
