Aussie bobsledder Duncan Pugh, 48, died unexpectedly over the weekend from a brain aneurysm in Perth. Pugh who competed at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics is no more in the world, leaving behind his wife, McKenzie, and his two sons, Charlie and George.

The bobsledder’s friend got him interested in the sport. Pugh was also a pro in both sprinting and surfing. In 2007, he participated in his first European Cup bobsled race.

Duncan Pugh’s wife McKenzie wrote, “We are heartbroken and simply lost for words.”. According to The West Australian, she added, “Taken far too soon. You were the rock of our family and wore your heart on your sleeve. You were so very proud of our two boys, the best dad anyone could have hoped for. Your passion and determination will forever live on in our boys.”

Pugh’s unexpected death has devastated his wife, McKenzie, and their whole family. McKenzie also expresses gratitude for him as her spouse and expresses optimism for the future of their children.
