Is Noah Lyles' obsession with the Paris Olympics inspiring or a sign of unhealthy dedication?

When you seal your status as an elite athlete, chances are you will take some time to get over your achievement. For Noah Lyles, the 33rd Olympics will go down as one of the most memorable events of his life after bagging his first Olympic gold at the Parisian tournament. Naturally, his elation should be somewhat more intense than what his fans are feeling right now. The Gainesville native is still coming to terms with what he achieved in France, and his Jamaican girlfriend, Junelle Bromfield, isn’t too happy about it.

Lyles and Bromfield met in 2017 and started formally dating in 2022. Since then, both track stars have crossed numerous milestones and have always stood in each other’s corners. And yet, Junelle Bromfield seems to have arrived at her wit’s end with her beau’s reluctance to get over the things that went down in the French capital.

In an Instagram post from hours ago, Bromfield shared how Noah Lyles is yet to wrap his head around his Olympic glory moments. Captioned, “These micd up are definitely personality videos,” the post shows the track power couple spending time together in familiar territory. They were also spotted running together on the track and grooving to music from the 2024 London Diamond League. Before long, Bromfield noted how Lyles couldn’t stay away from the hat that turned a lot of heads at the Paris Olympics.

Since Noah has gotten this hat, he has not taken it off,” the 400m specialist revealed with an affectionate tone, almost in agreement to let things slide considering what it means to the American. “He take it off to go to bed,” said Noah Lyles’ girlfriend, with a look on her face that should prompt Lyles to take note nonetheless. However, Lyles remained unwavering in his love for his hat and flipped over the front part of it, asserting he’s “made it.

You can call him One Hat Noah,” joked Bromfield. But the American speedster claimed her agitation was a display of her jealousy for not having a hat of her own. But Bromfield’s accusations might not be entirely unfounded either.

Hours after Junelle Bromfield’s Instagram post, Lyles also posted a chuckle-worthy clip on his Insta handle. In the brief video, Lyles can be seen doing all of his work and house chores with the Olympic medals around his neck. From doing the laundry to vacuuming the carpets to using the computer, Noah Lyles always likes to keep his hardware close by, and Bromfield might be reaching the threshold of cooperation. While the two kept pulling each other’s legs, they have always made it clear that it’s them versus the rest of the world.

Earlier this year, Lyles accidentally spilled the beans during an episode of the Track World News podcast about how Bromfield might have been sharing insider info with him about Jamaican track runners who could pose a threat to him. “I have been getting the drama from Jamaican camps for at least five years now,Lyles was heard saying, and all hell broke loose soon after.

Jamaican fans came after Bromfield with claws, calling her a traitor, but she kept her head above the clamor. “Living my best life because all these insult in the comments ain’t paying for these class flight!!” she wrote on Instagram. During all this time, Lyles remained firm by his girlfriend’s side and urged fans to cut her some slack.
