Fans express shock and awe after Connor McDavid scores a brilliant solo goal

When two top teams in their respective divisions go head-to-head, they often produce an exhilarating game. The Oilers’ game against the Rangers was no exception as they engaged in a thrilling back-and-forth.

Filip Chytil scored the first goal of the game to give the Rangers a 1-0 lead in the first period with a fine strike. However, that lead was short-lived as Zack Hyman pushed the puck past Rangers’ goaltender Alexandar Georgiev to tie the game.

In the second period, the Rangers took control as they outscored the Oilers 3-1. Kevin Rooney, Chris Kreider and Mika Zibanejad scored excellent goals to give them a 4-1 lead in the period. However, McDavid took over at this stage starting with his involvement in the Oilers’ second goal.

He made an incredible pass to Jesse Puljujärvi who made no mistake in the finish to reduce the arrears. The Oilers then produced an excellent display in the third period, with McDavid finding Tyson Barrie to score their third. They then tied the game through some fine work by Puljujärvi.

Although Zibajenad put the Rangers 5-4 up, McDavid produced a moment of magic after it. Starting from the middle of the rink, he produced incredible stick work to go past four defenders and Georgiev before poking the puck in the net.
