In the world of ice hockey, Wayne Gretzky needs no introduction. Gretzky is considered not only the greatest player in the history of the NHL, but also a great coach. His career lasted for 20 years, over the course of which, he broke and set many all-time records. To date, no one has come close to matching the GOAT of the NHL.

Just a week ago, Wayne Gretzky attended the NBA game between the Phoenix Suns and the Miami Heat in Miami. When he was shown on the screen, fans went crazy, both in the stadium and on Twitter.

Even NBA fans were taken aback by the fact that Wayne Gretzky was attending the match between the Suns and Heat. Several Twitteratis had varied reaction to the presence of an NFL great.

A user tweeted, “Most dominant athlete of all time.” After taking a look at his NHL career stats, it is no wonder that Gretzky is praised as the GOAT of ice hockey. He has records such as most goals and assists in a season, most goals and assists in a career, most points won in a career, and most Art Ross and Hart trophies.

A user tweeting “GOATer than Jordan”, compared Gretzky with the legendary Michael Jordan. A comparison that most NBA fans would certainly find it hard to agree with.
