Tiffany Stratton back in Team USA gear—Is this the comeback story we've all been waiting for?

At the 2024 edition of the Money in the Bank, after a lot of chaos, former NXT Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton managed to get her hands on the briefcase. Considering the track record of previous women’s briefcase winners, it is very likely that Stratton has secured a very real chance to win the title of WWE Women’s Champion over 365 days. All the women’s briefcase trades have succeeded in the past.

Tiffany Stratton’s rise in WWE has been truly spectacular. Stratton made her debut with the company in late 2021 as one of the fresh faces of NXT 2.0. Despite having no previous experience in the business, the wrestler quickly captured the interest of fans thanks to her athletic skills and strong personality. Stratton managed to win the brand’s Women’s Championship in May 2023, until she lost it to Becky Lynch in one of the most prominent rivalries of that year.

Then she finally arrived on Friday Night SmackDown, where she quickly gained the attention of fans. Now that she is the Money in the Bank winner, it truly shows that the WWE too is becoming a fan of Tiffy Time. But do you know that this isn’t the first taste of worldwide success for the WWE superstar? Well, that’s because the WWE superstar is a former bronze medal winner at the 2016 double mini USA gymnastics tournament, as she claimed a spot on the podium by placing third in the trampoline and double mini-trampoline.

Her roots in gymnastics are truly helping her career in the WWE, but that doesn’t mean that she has forgotten about her old sport. Recently, on social media, Stratton showed her support for her national team ahead of their appearance in the 2024 edition of the Paris Olympics. Taking to her Instagram, Tiffy Time shared sizzling pictures of her wearing a jersey of the US national team with the caption, “I’m just a (American) girl.”

Well, it surely looks like Stratton is getting all her fans to support the US national gymnastics team. But what about the chance for them to root for her? She is yet to cash in her briefcase, and from the looks of it, it seems like she’ll be doing it against the current WWE Women’s Champion, Bayley. However, before she does cash in, she’ll have to get her briefcase fixed.

At the Biggest Party of the Summer, Bayley will have the WWE Women’s Championship on the line against Nia Jax, winner of the Queen of the Ring tournament. The Role Model will have to be careful, though. Tiffany Stratton could intervene at any moment and cash in her Money in the Bank to take away her belt.

That’s why, in the latest edition of Friday Night SmackDown, the defending champion kicked the briefcase while Stratton was facing Michin. Bayley grabbed the briefcase and hit Nia Jax in the face. She then slammed her several times against the steel steps, threw her to the ground, and kicked her. Stratton, desperate, also lost the match because of the constant distractions. After the episode, Tiffy posted on social media the image of the briefcase, which was practically destroyed and wrapped in tape.

Tiffany Stratton had already threatened the current WWE champions on an earlier episode of SmackDown before attempting to cash in on Bayley and being stopped at the last minute by Nia Jax. So her fans surely would want her to cash in and win the top title here at the Blue Brand. What do you think? Will Stratton be the one walking out with the gold at SummerSlam? Let us know in the comments.
