The younger Ferrari brother has made his decision to commit to his college eligibility, following in AJ’s footsteps. After spending a season with the Iowa Hawkeyes as an unattached wrestler, it was now time to take things seriously at the stake of his professional career in the wrestling program.

A #14 ranked recruit and 2021 high school champion from the 2022 class of Oklahoma State, Anthony Ferrari‘s 8-1 record coming off from the Hawkeyes will see him soon making achievements for his newly committed team. With the new year just at a start, the wrestler is ready to debut in this season itself.

Anthony Ferrari is now a Long Island University wrestler. The commitment news was made by AJ Ferrari’s brother on his Instagram private account. Sharing the news, Anthony also reveals his LIU wrestler costume in the post with the comment, “I’m super excited to announce that I will be wrestling at LIU starting this semester! Fins.”

Starting in this season itself, the former Hawkeyes wrestler’s decision to commit to LIU came with major credit going to their recently appointed head coach, John Arceri. Thanking the coach, Anthony’s recruiting process, however, had an enormous influence reflected from the team members and the college wrestling program as a whole.

What’s your perspective on:

Can Anthony Ferrari carve his own path at LIU, or will he always be in AJ's shadow?

Have an interesting take?

“Coach Arceri was a huge part of making this happen and all of the guys on the team as well as the school were very welcoming.”

Driven by their welcoming nature, the new change for Anthony Ferrari comes at a time when his elder brother AJ Ferrari is facing trolling and has been in a great deal of discussions with no such link up coming for the other two. But the recent commitment news has now put Anthony under the spotlight, linking his image with that of his brothers.

Fans comparing the Ferrari brothers

It is not coming out as well-received news from fans on Anthony Ferrari’s commitment to LIU. Taking such a big step in his wrestling career, the wrestler is currently facing witty responses and negative criticisms made against him with the mention of his brothers Angelo and AJ Ferrari.

Commenting on Anthony’s commitment news, the fan statement, however, mentions his younger brother Angelo and not him. I give Angelo credit for not being a complete a-s hat like his brothers.Besides Angelo, both Anthony and AJ are coming off as negative characters, under which Angelo comes secured. The heated argument with Nick Stemmet over his brother AJ vs. Carter Starocci’s rivalry now puts him under a negative as that of AJ Ferrari.

Referring to AJ’s dominating nature against the wrestlers, a fan questions Anthony’s credibility with not much known about him in comparison to his elder brother. Did this one have drama too? I haven’t heard much about him. In comparison to AJ and Angelo Anthony’s prominence as wrestlers, the LIU wrestler does come off as well-known by fans.

A shocking comment by a fan saw Anthony being referred to as “her”. Whether a typing mistake or not, it’s quite unusual. Never heard of her? Seriously though he’s the least relevant brother by far lol.In comparison to AJ and Angelo, Anthony is coming out in relevance with his commitment to LIU gaining quite the attention on social media.

There was a time when all three brothers were part of the Iowa Hawkeyes team. A fan mentions his experience at the time AJ, Anthony, and Angelo were teammates. I love how we went from all 3 brothers at Iowa to only 1 lmao. With Angelo carrying forward with the same team, AJ and Anthony took different routes, one with Bakersfield and the other with the Sharks, respectively.

Another positive comment that came was the flexibility seen by the Ferrari brothers in their careers. Most geographically diverse brothers in history. With all three brothers committed in different locations, it comes with diverse achievements and prominence carried out by each of them.

Not with Hawkeyes, but Anthony Ferrari gained his prominence as part of Oklahoma State Stillwater High School. From failing short against Caleb Rathjen in the Soldier Salute Final to having two final appearances in both the Super 32 as well as the Cadet World Team Trials, the youngster has learned quite a lot in competition, competing against renowned and emerging names. As of now, his LIU debut this season will be something one has to wait and see.
