Taylor has been a master of takedown, the way he moves on the mat is flawless. Even in the fight with Yazdani, he pinned Yazdani with just three seconds to go. The way he leads the bout and then asserts dominance is an art form in itself. But in all of that, Taylor stays humble crediting his victory to all the support from the team, his wife, and his daughters. Flowrestling recently posted a clip of Taylor’s bout with Yazdani with the caption, “The Magic Man really lived up to his nickname at Worlds this year.”

It has taken a lot of hard work and dedication to be at the top, for him to be able to do what he does. In 2021 Yazdani beat Taylor in the world championship title and that made him refocus, the champion in him won’t let anyone surpass him. His focus and work have made him the dominant ruler of the 86 kg weight division getting him the top spot at the Paris Olympics 2024.
