The squabble went on for years, but last year it came into the limelight again when Taylor brought it up on the show called The MMA Hour. In that interview, he also mentioned his interest in going beyond his limits and learning other forms of wrestling. Taylor’s rivalry with Burroughs went on for decades until the US Open finals were scheduled. Here they two faced off in the field for the first time. The competitors met three times in 2014, while Burroughs won all the matches.
Taylor, on the other hand, moved up in weight category after taking a five-year break from the game. The spark of their battle again became a hit topic in 2021, when they both came in at the same weight level. Finally, Taylor could defeat Burroughs at FlowWrestling 4 but the result was a 4-4 draw. Now again, Taylor wants to spark up the anticipated fight in 2024.
