Recently, the wrestler used social media to make a big announcement about his upcoming performance. The athlete will now perform in the wrestling event at Oklahoma State Cowboys University. He captioned the picture by stating, “After a long process, I am excited to announce that I will be furthering my academic and athletic career at Oklahoma State University. I am very thankful for the support from my family, friends, and coaches. Go pokes.”

Merril dominated a competition in Fargo that very year. The wrestler emerged as the 16U freestyle runner-up and Greco-Roman National Champion at the 170-pound competition. He didn’t stop there, as he went on to be a part of the Junior National Championships and claimed his victory as well.
Apart from his game, he made headlines while taking part in “Who’s Number One?” He fetched the number one position in 220 pounds, defeating Sawyer Bartelt, hailing from South Dade, Florida. He kind of established his wrestling supremacy with the win.

In 2022, Merril showcased a jaw-dropping performance in the match at the U17 World Championship that took place in Rome, Italy. Despite bagging a bronze medal, his performance in the ring made fans shout his name at the top of their lungs.
