Wrestling is at the core of America’s heart, and its pulsating motion can transcend all boundaries. Recently, a phenomenal wrestler donning Serbian colors found impeccable support from the U.S. His alliance with the Star-Spangled Banner began at a young age as an immigrant and later as an NCAA athlete for the University of Michigan. Although this wrestling ace now competes in the World Wrestling Championships on behalf of his home country, America is reluctant to sever its ties with him.

Stevan Micic’s exceptional wrestling prowess was on exhibition at the World Championships. The former all-American athlete began his climb to the podium from the first match against Korean wrestler Kim Gukhyeon. He trounced all five opponents for the 57kg freestyle world title in remarkable fashion. However, what truly astonished the wrestling world were his premonitions about his final rivals that unfolded in reality with an eerie precision.

During the conversation, he made a prediction that turned out the right word for word. In a recent interview with Flowrestling, Stevan Micic expressed his surprise at the uncanny turn of events. Flowrestling uploaded a small clip from the interview on their Instagram account with the caption, “Back in May Stevan Micic said he wanted to wrestle Russia, Albania and Japan – he got what he asked for and made the most of it!”.

The “Golden Boy” from Serbia spoke about his astonishment when he realized later that he had fought against the wrestlers from these three countries “in that order”. Micic was looking for redemption for last year’s loss of the gold. Besides personal gratification, the 27-year-old wrestling superstar had a more noble cause in mind.
