20-Year-Old Wrestling World Champion Wrestles Past USA’s Olympic Hero, Unveils “Most Difficult Thing” Faced On Road to Glory

On Monday, the wrestling world witnessed a remarkable tale that can inspire young generations. This story is about a 20-year-old athlete who represented his nation with a limited wrestling history. However, he managed to achieve success by beating two wrestling agents. This is none other than young sensation, Akhmed Tazhudinov, whose name will be registered in the books of the wrestling world in the coming years. 

Akhmed Tazhudinov, a native of Dagestan, started his wrestling career at Abulrashid Sadulaev Wrestling Club. His destiny was defined when he decided to compete for Bahrain. On Monday, a turning point marked his career as he not only defended himself against two illustrious figures but also defeated them and created history.

The first chapter of this tale comprises Tazudinov’s clash with legendary wrestler Kyle Snyder in the quarterfinals. It was the 97 kg category where Tazudinov secured a victory over his opponent with a score of 11-0. in addition to this, he also executed jaw-dropping four-point moves in the first period. This left the four-time world and Olympic champion not only struggling with the defeat but also stunned. 

This was not the end, as he again faced another wrestling prodigy and his mentor, Abdulrashid Sadulaev. He is considered Sadulaev’s biggest rival, but Tazhudinov forced him to concede the match. This mesmerizing performance marked a 9-2 score with just over a minute left. Moreover, Sadulaev’s defeat was forced due to his debilitating neck or shoulder injury.

In addition, the wrestling world also witnessed the circulation of photos on various social media platforms portraying emerging star Tazhudinov standing alongside his mentor Sudulaev.
