Harold Nichols, an icon in collеgе wrеstling, passed away at the age of 79. His illustrious coaching career included stints at Arkansas State and a remarkable 32-year tenure at Iowa State. Nichols returned after the 1984–85 college season, leaving behind a legacy marked by a record of 492-93-14. During his tenure, he secured six National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and seven Big Eight tournament championships. John Smith is also not far behind.

John Smith has been a force to reckon with right from his days on the mat. He has been a six consecutive world champion from 1987 to 92. He brought the USA the topmost glory by grabbing gold in the 1988 and 1992 Olympics. The staunch success followed when donned the coaching hat as well.
