He is the youngest New York state champion in history and has bagged the title of a freshman. With this, he is also a Fargo and Super 32 champion of two high-profile events. He is one of the biggest assets of the wrestling realm.

Duke is given the rank of one of the best recruits out of the Class of 2025, and now after almost completing his high school junior, he has excited the entire internet by stating his choice of college. He has made his commitment to one of the best colleges which has worth of whooping $12.39 Billion. He shared the message through an elegant social media post. It is a great opportunity for the young wrestler and for the college as well to have such a talented sportsperson under them.

Wrestler PJ Duke reveals his plans for college

The top recruit in the high school Class of 2025 has revealed the collegiate choice he has made for himself through social media. According to a report by InterMat, Duke has decided to fly to State College, Pennsylvania to wrestle for Cael Sanderson’s Penn State Nittany Lions. Duke will be joining the Minisink Valley member, Zack Ryder, who is a part of the 2024 recruiting batch and has also made his link with the PSU.

Duke became one of the top recruiters because of his own skills and talent. He gained the spot after winning multiple top high school events in the country. With this, in 2022, he also clinched the two-time Walsh Ironman finalist, in which he eventually secured victory in 2022 at 150 lbs. This talented youngster has also nabbed the Super 32 finals on three occasions. Adding to this, he also has attained championship belts from prestigious events.

Apart from these one of the biggest achievements for the duke was when he attained a Fargo stop sign after securing victory at the 138lb weight class in 16U freestyle in 2022. According to InterMat, looking at Nittany Lions’ current roaster and the class of 2024, it is clearly visible that do not have the need for a new student. But when it comes to someone with Duke’s caliber there is no time to think. You just say yes. His extraordinary achievements have taken him where he is today and there is no stopping for this champion. He is trying to be better than he is now every day.

The Duke’s decision to commit to the Penn State

The Penn State White Out is renowned for its talent in Football, but it also stands as one of the biggest promising in the wrestling arena as well. During the halftime of Penn State’s 31-0 White Out nabbed the win over Iowa. Penn State honored its wrestling team which was six months eliminated from its 10th national championship in 12 years under Cael Sanderson. It is also witnessed that White Out assisted the future of Penn State’s wrestling as well. It was the same weekend the top recruit made his first official visit to Penn State.

This was the time when PJ decided to go here and join Sanderson’s team. When he decided to announce this to Sanderson, he could sense how proud his future trainer was already. He expressed, “I think he tried not to show his emotions too much.” He further added, “But I think he was pretty excited.” All the wrestling enthusiasts were happy with PJ going there as he deserved it.
