Buchanan is embracing his rigorous training regimen at Iowa Hawkeye; he shared his experience and said it feels like “another day in the office.” While playing for Oklahoma and Wyoming from 2019–2022, he performed so well and won several medals. And then, when he moved to Iowa from Oklahoma, a firestorm ignited among fans and the wrestling community. How is Buchana’s training going at the new place with new teammates?

As per the video uploaded on ‘X’ (Twitter) on the official handle of Iowa Hawkeye Wrestling, Stephen Buchanan accepted the fact that he is really enjoying his time here. He stated, “I fall back on my training. We go through hard practice every single day. I mean, I have teammates in there who are just as good as Trey.” It shows how much he appreciates his training here in Iowa, and there is nothing unfamiliar to him.

While talking about the training strategy or training techniques, Buchanan said that each day he is pushing limits and improving in his techniques to reach another level. He stated, “They’re hand-fighting me. They’re pushing me to my limits. So, it was just another day in the office.” Buchanan is looking forward to getting trained at Iowa and reaching new heights in his wrestling career with determination. Buchanan’s victory after joining Iowa State

Though Buchanan earned enough respect and titles during his time in Oklahoma, now as he moved to Iowa State, he started winning for them too. A few days ago, he showed an outstanding performance in his bout against Oregon State and impressed fans.

With his Iowa debut, he scored seven points in the third period and managed 9-5 over four-time NCAA qualifier Trey Munoz. However, Munoz took the lead in two starting periods, with a 4-1 score in the second period. The Hawkeye team ended up winning with a 30-7 score over Oregon State in Corvallis, Ore.
