Since the commencement of the Powerade Wrestling Tournament, wrestlers across various teams have been under the spotlight. As the event reached finals today, spectators were ecstatic to see new faces come up to stand atop the podium. Along the same lines, one such new face is a young prodigy who recently got recruited on his dream team. 

However, he is not the only one leaving the indelible mark with dynamic results as he is among the five wrestlers who performed quite well this week. The newly recruited five wrestling stars including NLWC’s rising wrestler did not perform in just one tournament but are making waves across multiple tournaments.

Nate Desmond, from joining the dream team to incredible performances

Nate Desmond is added to the Penn State Wrestling team a few days back. Soon after wearing the team jersey, Nate promised himself to portray the best of his skills on the wrestling mat. To appreciate the young talent at Penn State, the team took it to its Twitter account and posted a picture of him. In addition to his picture, the team also penned, ” Penn State Commits, Shine this Weekend – 5 Champions N. Desmond & A. Nate Desmond has played exceptionally since the beginning of the tournament. In the semi-finals of the tournament, Nate defeated the opponent wrestler Louie Gill in 121 lbs while clinching a remarkable score of 5-0. After securing a place at the finals, Nate again grabbed the opportunity to showcase his skills and pinned the opponent on the wrestling mat.

He managed to defeat Karson Brown in the final showdown 5-0. Therefore, Nate Desmond not only knocked off the opponents along the way but also secured the championship title this year. However, he is not the only rising star on Penn State’s plate.

Five incredible add-ons to the wrestling team

Recent add-ons to the Penn State wrestling team have been emerging as advantageous for the team. Not only Nate Desmond but three other wrestlers are also among the ones who performed well. A. Cunningham and M. Gibson also portrayed exceptional skills in Powerade.

Connor and Cole Mirasola clinched the spotlight as a part of the Lourdes OTW Wrestling classic. Among these recent recruits is B Weiss, who performed well in Neil Turner Mem—Holiday Classic wrestling tournament. The incredible performances by young Penn State wrestlers not only estimate their bright future but also mark a bright opportunity for the team as well.
