“Be aggressive with your work ethic, but patient on God’s timing,” AJ Ferrari had once written on his X account as he quoted the Galatians 6:9 just after.“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” And looks like it’s Ferrari’s time to reap with this undefeated NCAA season of 16-0! But let’s just say that his wrestling journey hasn’t exactly been rosy, with several controversies rolling in, such as the disqualification at the Soldier Salute Tournament and his departure from OSU. However, nothing remains constant; AJ Ferrari has now bounced back, and how?
Speaking of controversy, back in 2024, AJ Ferrari skipping the Cliff Keen Invitational that commenced in Las Vegas propelled many talks and critical comebacks in the community. Critics poured enough hatred following that. However, as per reports, AJ Ferrari skipped the Invitational due to an injury. He had to sit back and focus on his recovery. The Cliff Keen Invitational is where budding wrestlers showcase their ability and how much they can endure and sustain when the field tightens and gets tough.
For some, it may have come off as a deja vu moment, as in the 2023 Soldier Salute Invitational, where he faced Zach Glacier, which eventually resulted in disqualification. The victory had to be overturned because Ferrari had allegedly punched Glacier after the takedown. Not only this, he even engaged in some obscene gestures toward the opponents, and we all saw how that turned out.

But the present situation is a complete flip. On the biggest stage of the Pac-12 finals, Ferrari got it done against Stephen Little with a hard-fought 2-0 decision at 197 pounds. Ferrari got in on a single early but couldn’t finish, and after a scoreless first, he put on a dominant ride in the second, racking up over a minute of riding time. Little had to go through a long concussion protocol, but Ferrari stayed in control, escaping quickly in the third and forcing a stall call to seal the win. He closed it out with solid positioning—and then hit the splits and threw up the double birds for good measure.
Appreciating the win, Flowrestling took to Instagram and wrote, “AJ Ferrari gets it done against Stephen Little with a 2-0 decision in the Pac-12 finals 🔥”

As fans were applauding his hard-fought victory, one wrote, “Been a long road for you, now go win the natty! Can’t wait to watch.” But let’s not forget the road he’s traveled. What we are now eyeing is him getting crowned at the NCAA. Ferrari shall earn momentum to establish his comeback, and his fans have all the faith.
