There were expectations from the Hawkeyes vs. Penn State match. But messing up the victory was Tom Brand’s decision to bring in their freshman in place of Gabe Arnold. Competing against the Penn State star player, Angelo, who remained unbeatable, was thought to bring his dominance in tough matches like these, but he failed to get the win against Carter.

The match starts, and within seconds Angelo drops down on his knee, giving away the advantage to Carter Starocci. Angelo showed his defensive skills on Starocci, but his failed attempts to get any attack ended up in a loss by 3-1. On Starocci’s side, the champion attempts to avoid any sort of engagement at first, but gets hold of the advantage by regaining control in the riding time and taking points under him.

Taking the win, Starocci’s individual career is now improved to 13-0, and proving himself once again, he gets the victory. Angelo’s defeat didn’t go well, but despite the loss, he is getting the hate. Instead, his fans are appreciating and giving out immense support against any hate given out on social media.

Not Starocci but fans support Angelo Ferrari

It was a loss that gained Angelo Ferrari the support of fans. Going against a player like Carter Starocci could have gained him the negativity, but it wasn’t the case this time. Even with the loss, it was Angelo Ferrari who was the match highlight.

Appreciating his efforts, a fan commented, “He was impressive. But can he get to his shot against Carter in the next one? He will have to win in SD to have any chance.” Failing to win against the PSU in their first matchup, whether Angelo Ferrari makes a striking comeback in the next match with the PSU star or not, is something we all will see.

It was not only Angelo’s defeat but also a defeat for the Hawkeyes. The No. 2 team ended up with a disappointing loss against the No. 1 Penn State by 8-30.
