As he approaches the culmination of his college journey, many are poised to witness his departure in a spectacular fashion. And why?

Examine his track record closely. As of now, Starocci holds an impressive record of 21-0 in the ongoing 2024-25 college wrestling season, maintaining an undefeated status.

Recently, on X, the Penn State wrestler made another striking comment, as reported by reporter Evan Smith. “Yeah, I was talking with Coach Cael about it last week. And for me, it’s never about winning a national title or anything like that. For me, I really enjoy competition, and I’m very competitive. And so for me, just one thing I wanna make sure is before I go that I kill all these guys.”

Most recently, Starocci’s competitive spirit was on full display during the Big 10 Championships. The Penn State wrestler showcased an impressive performance, asserting dominance throughout the Big Ten Championships. Carter Starocci faced off against Indiana’s Donnell Washington, achieving a commanding win with a score of 18–1 in a mere 4:54. Maryland’s Jaxon Smith made a notable entrance but lost with a decisive score of 12–2.

However, tensions heightened when he came face to face with Minnesota’s Max McEnelly. This match showcased an exhilarating contest, but ultimately, as is the nature of competition, there could be only one victor, and it was the Penn State wrestler who emerged triumphant.

When Starocci was asked during an interview about the level of competition he encountered at the Big 10 Championships, he responded, “I mean, in my eyes, it’s a one-horse race. I mean, it’s always me, you know? I mean, however, you want to draw it up, a pin, a tech fall, or a close match, overtime, however, you want to draw it up, I mean, it’s me every time.” Now that’s confidence!
