On September 17, the #1 prospect made his official collegiate visit to Arizona State. He shared a few images from his visit with fans with X, captioned, “Arizona State! Great visit with Coach Jones and Coach Molinaro. This program has lots to offer and another one that checks lots of boxes.” Even though the university had a few of the things he looked for, he never specified why he dropped it.
So, what schools remain on his NCAA prospects list? Cornell, Iowa, Iowa State, Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Penn State, Pitt-Johnstown, Rutgers, and Virginia Tech are still in contention. But what prompted Bo Bassett to take this approach? Most colleges rush to get their dream recruits for the NCAA season. However, he wanted to make the process just a tad bit easier. So he decided to create a list and post a graphic on social media with every Division 1 and a few division 2 schools on there.
While this helped him narrow his choices down, this gave colleges an idea that he was open to exploring. The wrestler mentioned that he had a few visits left, after which he would put out a list of the top 10. Regardless of how long the process has taken, he wanted to soak up every second of it. While we might still have to wait to find out where he eventually might go, the 18-year-old has dropped a few hints. Where does the wrestler hope to go?
Is orange the color for the 18-year-old?
Bo Bassett visited Oklahoma State University in the last week of November and spent a few days alongside Jax Forrest. The wrestler shared the news with fans on Instagram, calling it a great visit and calling the Cowboys tough. He spent two fun-filled days training with the team, doing photoshoots, and even had the chance to attend the winning match against Wyoming. However, his visit has caused quite a stir, causing many to believe he might be leaning towards the university.
The 18-year-old shared a picture after training with assistant coach Thomas Gilman and was elated by the two-hour session. He also reiterated how Gilman’s enthusiasm was contagious, and he enjoyed having a chat. However, OSU has been one of the most anticipated colleges this season because of their head coach, David Taylor. The former Nittany Lion looks forward to getting to the top of the NCAA standings in years to come.
