The wrestling fans have their eyes hooked on the annual Soldier Salute collegiate wrestling tournament taking place in Coralville, Iowa. Hosting wrestlers from across the country in various age brackets, such as college graduates and high school seniors, the tournament is indeed a hot pursuit in the combat world. Including both women’s and men’s divisions, this new annual tradition is witnessing ambitious performances.

And Big10 wrestlers are marking their presence with a dominant display of combat skills. Several B1G wrestlers are proceeding to the Soldier Salute semi-final matchup.

The official Instagram handle of the nation’s no. 1 wrestling conference, @b1gwrestling took to highlight its wrestlers who’ve made it to the semi-final round of Soldier Salute. The caption of the post reads, “A look at B1G Wrestlers from @iowahawkeyewrestling, @gopherwrestling, and @huskerwrestling that advanced to the @soldiersaluteia Semifinals. The action resumes on Saturday at 11 AM CT on B1G+ 📺.” As per the post, Big 10 has 22 of its wrestlers advancing to the next round.

After the action concluded on Friday, the teams have now sent their victorious wrestlers to the next level. The No. 12 Minnesota wrestling team Gophers has sent altogether eight wrestlers to the semifinals. These include Patrick McKee and Brandon Morvari, who will be playing at 125 pounds. The other competitors from the Gophers wrestling team include Isaiah Salazar and Max McEnelly at 184 pounds, Vance VomBaur at 141 pounds, and Blaine Brenner at 165 pounds. Garrett Joles at 197 pounds and Bennett Tabor have also made the cut with their impressive victories.

Nebraska Huskers also put up a formidable display against its opponents. They are sending two of its wrestlers to the semifinals, including Jacob Van Dee at 133 pounds and Elise Brown Ton at 174 pounds. However, the Iowa Hawkeyes surpassed every program with its dazzling presence on the list.

Iowa Hawkeyes had a successful display on the first day of the soldier salute, sending 12 of its dominant wrestlers to the semifinals. These include Drake Ayala at 125 pounds. At 133 pounds, it includes Cullan Schriever, Brody Teske, and Kale Petersen (unattached). The list does not end here.

Real Woods will compete at 141 pounds. The next category of 149 pounds It also includes Caleb Rathjen and Victor Voinovich. Jared Franek comes under 157 pounds, whereas at 165 pounds it includes Michael Caliendo and Patrick Kennedy. Gabe Arnold (unattached) at 174 pounds and Zach Glazier at 197 pounds have also advanced.

With these names in the semifinals, the next session is scheduled for Saturday for the annual Soldier Salute.
