Step into the world of the University of Northern Iowa Wrestling team founded back in 1923. The fierce Panthers have recently made themselves at home in the West Gym alter. That’s not all, they even knocked out a wall to make room for extra mats adding an extra 25 percent in mat space compared to their previous setup. Talk about leveling up! A forced shift, however, underlined their deteriorating conditioning at practice, placing the coach at the center of action.

The 46-year-old coach yelled instructions to his Northern Iowa wrestlers to pull up their socks in recent weeks. With a lot to manage, juggling both his professional and personal life, a calm descended as his wife urged a wholesome get-together.

The longstanding home of the University of Northern Iowa Panthers, West Gym, was vacated in September end. There have been structural issues for a few years, although last summer demanded a quicker turnaround for the wrestling program in the future. That’s when freestyle wrestler and NCAA wrestling coach Doug Schwab and his crew searched and shifted to a new facility. Amid the hustle, his wife posted an update about “spending time together,” on her Twitter(X) account @allysonschwab.

The hilarious video showed the couple having a great time while Schwab waited for his order of Mountain Dew. The waiter arrived with two shot glasses and announced that one was Diet and the other was Fountain Dew, keeping him worried about getting a diet dew. As he sipped the drinks, trying to predict what they were, his wife giggled at his reactions throughout. His wife penned a beautiful message on putting efforts into marriage and ended it with “Do the work. Make the time.”

Schwap still has a lot of serious responsibilities, earlier one graduate said, “I am deeply disappointed and frustrated.” Flow Wrestling also reported that “structural engineers deemed the West Gym unsafe for occupancy.” Several students voiced their displeasure with the training facilities of a long-standing sporting body. Despite their best efforts, they were unable to revive the Panthers’ almost a century-old home. As the collegiate wrestling team settles into its new home, an additional effort is being put into finding a permanent home.
