A.J. Ferrari, a former Oklahoma State Star, is making waves across the wrestling world these days. Despite having a meteoric rise in his true first year, Ferrari witnessed an unforeseen turn in his wrestling journey. Back on 24th January 2023, he saw an abrupt halt in his career, plagued by season-ending injuries.

Even though he clinched the NCAA Championships at 197 pounds in 2021, he was exempted from the 2022-2023 season. Along the same lines, Ferrari is again under the spotlight, but not for his recent switch from Oklahoma State University to the Hawkeye wrestling team. Eventually, Ferrari will make headlines for making a comeback on the world mat by participating at the Soldier Salute in Coralville, Iowa.

Back in 2022, Ferrari’s career almost changed as the freshman suffered injuries that left him suffering an end to the season from a horrific car wreck. A few months after this incident, Ferrari was added to the transfer portal as he could not compete against wrestlers after winning over Lehigh’s JT Davis.

But, recently, AJ Ferrari made a triumphant return. Eventually, Ferrari found himself with the support of his brothers and their wrestling team, the Hawkeyes. Soon after entering the Soldier Salute wrestling mat, he grabbed the opportunity to prove himself by showing skills on the mat.

In the 197-pound wrestling category, Ferrari defeated the opponent wrestler Joey Novak (Wyoming). He not only won the current match but also secured a spot in the upcoming semifinals of the tournament. Overall, Iowa’s wrestling team has secured 107 points. But is it enough to clinch a spot in the finals?

Hawkeyes feature the Ferrari brothers in the semifinals, Anthony at 149 pounds, and AJ at 197 pounds in wrestling categories. On the other hand, Minnesota has eight wrestlers who coveted spots in the semifinals. Among these are nationally ranked wrestling sensations No. 10 Isaiah Salazar, No. 31 Vance Vombaur, and No. 19 Patrick McKee. But the question is still the same: Who will win, Minnesota or Iowa.?
