While the Big Championships heat up this weekend, AJ Ferrari, the ever-flashy, never-shy NCAA champ, is moving off the mat. All the top tiers chase to bag the titles, and AJ keeps it cool, playing his own rules here. Instead of scrapping for a spot in the Big Ten spotlight, the former NCAA champ decided to spend his weekend giving back. Even amid his rigorous NCAA training schedule, Ferrari carved out time to mentor young wrestlers, proving that his commitment to the sport goes beyond just competition. But where exactly did this happen?

According to their official Instagram page, Ferrari rolled up to So Cal Hammers, a youth wrestling program in California, to work with the next generation. And this wasn’t some half-hearted PR stunt—he was on the mat, putting in real time with the kids, sharing his knowledge, and showing them what it takes to be great!

The Hammers took to Instagram, sharing a heartwarming moment with their hero, and wrote, “Thanks to A.J Ferrari for coming out n giving back to the youth. We’ll be seeing you soon fo sho.  Good luck in the post-season. Go get that Natty Title!” And gave a special shoutout to Jacob Longcrier, saying, “Shoutout to Jacob Longcrier as well for giving back. It was a pleasure meeting you and having you in the room today. Thank you. Hope to see you soon.”

Ferrari, known for his high-energy personality and 197-pound dominance, isn’t the type to sit still. But instead of battling it out in the Big Ten Championships, he invested his time in the wrestling community.

What we learn? We learn that Ferrari can never fade away from the league.

While he might not be claiming the top right now, a closer look towards his earlier crownings, here’s what we can fetch from a closer look at his earlier crownings! As a freshman at Oklahoma State, he went 20-1 to claim an NCAA title with a 95% win rate. In 2022, he was flawless at 10-0, winning 70% of his matches with bonus points before setbacks stalled his rise. But Ferrari doesn’t fade—he is currently wrestling at CSU Bakersfield, which is not a Big Ten school, racking up a 14-0 record in 2025 with an 86.67% bonus rate, as mentioned in Wrestle Stat.

Enough to say that he remains a force that no one wants to face on the mat!
