American TV host Stephen A. Smith is a quote known for his unfiltered opinion. He has always distinguished himself from other analysts by offering outstanding analysis and revolutionary viewpoints. Recently, as he appeared on The First Take, fans knew what to expect: fun and entertainment. But this time, he made a shocking comparison, one which shook the NBA world quite literally.

As a seven-time NBA All-Star, two-time MVP, and three-time NBA champion, Steph Curry is the face of the NBA. Such talent stands no match. But recently, Stephen A. Smith compared someone from women’s college basketball with Curry. Turns out Smith is all praises for the IOWA basketball sharpshooter, Caitlin Clark.

The comparison came when Stephen A. Smith was asked on First Take who he was most excited to see this season. Smith said, “Well to me it’s Caitlin Clark. I mean, that’s just how I feel about it…” Adding on, Smith said, “I’m just a Caitlin Clark fan. I think she is the Steph Curry of women’s college basketball.” But that was not all.

Smith also praised someone else as well. He said, “I like Paige Bueckers. She is something special.” However, he went back to praising Clark. “But I think about Clarke.. She is a spectacular sniper. Make no mistake about it …” Smith has always been a personality who openly praises talent when he sees one. As he leaves no stone unturned, Smith has also praised someone else as a “marketing genius.” But that someone has no connection with the NBA.

Smith makes no mistake about giving his unfiltered views on his podcast. Then Stephen A. Smith Show, which premiers three times a week, Smith discusses all things sports and pop culture news. But in one episode, he had his eyes on none other than Taylor Swift.

As Taylor Swift was seen at the MetLife Stadium on Sunday, October 2, the whole of the NFL world went gaga about it. Praising Swift for her worldwide influence, Smith said, “She’s proven to be along the way, not just an incredible performer, musician, artist, but she’s also a marketing genius. I mean, when we’re gonna stop acting like we don’t know what this is all about?”  Smith also corrected himself by saying, “I’m saying that because damn it, I’m jealous, I am jealous of Taylor Swift!”

NBA or no NBA, Stephen A. Smith sure has his opinion ready about everything that goes around the sports and the pop culture world. As is obvious by now, Smith has his thoughts on all.
