PyeongChang Dome and Gangneung Oval hosted the Gangwon 2024 Opening Ceremony, which carried the theme “The Universe.” The background for the opening ceremonies of the quadrennial meet was also the two prominent locations in the 2018 Winter Olympics. The arenas were turned into a playground of creativity with the cosmic theme, which symbolizes the endless possibilities for youth, transporting viewers from the frozen landscapes of an “ice planet” to the boundless openness of space.
An air of excitement and expectation pervaded the celebration as a diverse lineup of performers, dancers, and singers celebrated Korean culture. Out of all the artists present, the first Korean-based Filipino boy band Hori7on captivated the crowd like an original international boy group.

In the opening ceremony of the Youth Olympics, the band’s performance featured its hit numbers “Six7een” and “Hit Me”.
