During an Ice Hockey match between the women’s team of defending Champion USA and Finland, a ‘ghost goal’ was scored by the Finland player. Tapani was missed by everyone, including the players and the referee. Both the teams were then asked to return to the rink after the officials found out about the mistake. However, the players were all confused because the game was already ended.

The referee instructed that the game will be replayed from the exact same moment the ‘ghost goal’ was made. Hence, the match started at 2:20 on the clock, but both teams could not score any further goals in the match. USA won the match with the final score of 5-2 against Finland.

The Americans started with an attacking game and the two early goals from Kendall Coyne-Schofield and Alex Carpenter gave them a pretty powerful position in the game. From team Finland, only Susanna Tapani could score a single goal, and USA managed an easy win. Though the celebration was soon called off as the referee revealed that somehow a goal by Finland in the match was missed.
