The best part about legends is that they live on, even when the moments of their achievements and glory are long gone. Yuzuru Hanyu is a legend who’ll be remembered forever, as the most incredible figure skater ever. The Japanese skater is not just loved by fans but even his rivals and fellow players, like Nathan Chen, who have great admiration and respect for him.

Hanyu failed to win his third consecutive Olympic gold in the men’s figure skating short program at Beijing Winter Olympics 2022, but his efforts at the finals have earned him quite a lot of respect from his contemporary figure skaters. The fact that he tried the most difficult jump in figure skating and nearly got it to perfection speaks a lot about his devotion and determination towards the sport.

The two-time Olympic gold medalist is one of the best figure skaters ever. He is the only one who has come close enough to perform the quad axel to near perfection, in the Japanese National Championship 2021 and his attempt at the jump in Beijing is far better than anyone can ever hope for.
