When, Where and How to Watch US Gold Medal Prospect Nathan Chen at the Beijing Winter Olympics 2022

It will be the culmination of the very best athletes of the world at the Beijing Winter Olympics 2022. The Opening Ceremony will be held on the 4th of February. In this coveted event, one of the most followed athletes will be none other than the figure skater, Nathan Chen.

The American Figure Skater is a three-time World Champion. He is the popular choice to win the Gold Medal at figure skating events. This will be his search for redemption after finishing just off the podium in 2018.

When to watch Nathan Chen?

Known as the Quad King, Nathan Chen will be Team USA’s representative in Men’s Single. Chen is known for his incredible range of quadruple figure skating jumps. This will be Chen’s second attempt at an individual Olympic Medal after Pyeongchang 2018.

Nathan Chen is an individual medal contender, and it is possible that he will skate on both segments of the team event. Although the official rosters have not been named yet, it is certain that Chen shall make it to the team.

The Men’s short program will be held on Thursday, Feb 3 at 8:55 pm ET. The Men’s Free Skate Team Event will be held on Saturday, February 5 at 10:50 pm ET.

However, Chen will be the most looked forward athlete in the individual event, where the 6-time National Champion will be the Gold Medal favorite.

The Men’s Short Program Individual will be held on Monday, February 7 at 8:15 pm ET. Additionally, the Men’s Free Skate individual event will be held on Wednesday, February 9 at 8:30 pm ET. All Skaters will compete in the short program, however, only the top 24 will advance to the free skate.

At 22-years, Nathan Chen has won 6 consecutive National Championships and grabbed his rightful spot at the Olympics. Previously, in the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, he won a Bronze Medal in the team event.

Although he could not give a podium finish, Chen has been on a winning streak since then.

Where to watch the US Gold Medal Prospect?

The Beijing Winter Olympics 2022 will air across several channels worldwide. Some of these are NBC, USA, CNBC, and the Olympic Channel.
