The 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics is in its second week now. While some players are getting the honor of being a champion in the Olympics, others are witnessing disappointments and setbacks. Team USA is currently in the third position in the Beijing Winter Olympics.

Lindsey Jacobellis– The 36-year-old American snowboarder Lindsey Jacobellis wins her first Olympic gold at Beijing Winter Games. She won the gold in the women’s snowboarding cross and became the oldest snowboarder ever to win a gold at Olympics.

Chloe Kim– The 21-year-old snowboarder wins her second consecutive gold at Olympics. In the women’s snowboarding halfpipe, Chloe secured a gold and became the first woman to win two gold medals in the halfpipe event.

Nathan Chen- The three-time world champion wins the most awaited Olympic gold at Beijing Winter Olympics. In the men’s figure skating short program, the 22-year-old defeated his chief rival Yuzuru Hanyu of Japan, and brought home the gold in figure skating.

Erin Jackson– The 29-year-old American skater made history by winning a gold medal in the 500-meter speed skating event on Sunday. She finished the race in 37.04 seconds and delivered the first-speed skating medal for USA in Beijing Winter Olympics.

Mixed Team Aerial– Ashley Caldwell, Chris Lillis, and Justin Schoenefeld created history in Beijing by winning the first ever gold for USA in mixed team aerial event. They scored 338.34 points in the finals and defeated China to be the champion.

Mixed Team Snowboard Cross– Team USA was able to score another gold at a team event. This is turning out to be a dream Olympic for Lindsey Jacobellis as she win another gold with her partner Nick Baumgartner in the mixed team snowboard cross.

The silver medalists for USA are Julia Marino(women’s snowboarding slopestyle), Jaelin Kauf (women’s moguls), Alexa Knierim, Brandon Frazier, Madison Chock, Evan Bates, Karen Chen (figure skating team event), Ryan Cochran (men’s super-G), Colby Stevenson (Freestyle skiing, big air).

The Only bronze medal for USA is won by Jesse Diggins in cross-country skiing.
We’ll surely see an increase in team USA medal count by the end of the Beijing Winter Olympics.
