The road to the Paris Olympics is not far away and different qualifying rounds are being held for different sports. Currently, the women’s volleyball team’s qualifying round of games is in full swing. 24 countries are participating in the event that is scheduled from 16 to 24 September. The organizers have divided the 24 countries into three pools, and they will select two teams from each pool. Thus, in total, six countries’ teams will be finally qualified. The USA women’s team is also ready to secure its position in the upcoming Olympics.

They are playing with full confidence and power and have collected three victories so far. The first was in combat with Columbia, followed by Thailand and Slovenia. Yesterday’s match was even more competitive for the team and the fans were left in awe of their performance. The players showed their real strength and power on the ground in Poland. Especially, one of USA’s main players, Chiaka Ogbogu’s Stellar performance caught the attention of many.

Chiaka Ogbogu showed her prowess through a stunning and highly high-rated performance in the qualifying round of the competition. She proved to be the principal agent of victory against Slovenia. On the ground, she proved to be a savior for her team. With much energy and zeal, she performed her best and acted as a guarding angel. The ferocious queen of US volleyball protected her team and added her strength to the marvelous victory against Slovenia. The Volleyball World recently shared a post on their X account by captioning it “SEP 19 RESULTS + SEP 20 SCHEDULE”?along with the complete schedule of the upcoming matches.

She, with the help and perfect partnership with her team members, had five kills and seven blocks as the USA held a 15-10 blocks advantage. After the match, Ogbogu said ?Shout out to Slovenia for pushing us and forcing us to find different solutions,?? ?We?ve talked a lot about establishing ourselves as a good block and defense team, and I thought we did a high-level job of executing our defensive game plan. It?s also very easy to block when my pin hitters set it up for me, so shout out to them too” she continued.

The other member, Annie Drews who set it up, also got 11 kills and eight digs enhancing the overall score. An ace as 12 of the Americans on the 14-player roster saw action in the 25-13, 25-13, 20-25, 25-13 victory. With this victory, the team gets much closer to the road ahead to the Paris Olympics.

The forthcoming International multi-sport mega event, the Olympics, will take place in Paris from 26 July to 11 August in 2024. The Women’s volleyball team is all set and ready to fight for the selection and make their presence at the prestigious event. As the qualifying matches are planned for selection, the US team wins accolades among Volleyball enthusiasts after winning three of the matches with Columbia, Thailand, and Slovenia respectively.

They have brought much glory to their country. After winning three of the matches planned, they still have to fight with a few matches ahead. That will ensure their secured seat in the Olympics. There are four more pool-play matches left to go ahead to their final destination, i.e. the Olympics. On Wednesday, September 20, they will have to face a match against Korea followed by another fight with Italy on Friday, September 22. The schedule includes the last two round matches against host countries Poland and Germany, on September 23 and September 24.

Hence, the road to Paris is not far away. The US has almost completed half of the battle and four are now left under coach Karch Kilary. There are strong indications of the US women’s team qualifying for the rest of the matches, based on their previous records and they will look forward to keeping their winning momentum going.
