“Brought Tears to My Eyes”: Emotional Rollercoaster for Nebraska Huskers’ Merritt Beason’s Family as They Unveil Her All-American Status

The Nebraska Huskers have made an irreplaceable space in the NCAA Volleyball Tournament by making it to the semifinals 16 times. This year’s semifinal match is the replica of  2021’s match against the Pittsburgh Panthers. Amid all the anticipation and girding up, the spotlight has once again been captivated by the fans of the Huskers. However, this time along with the fans’ reactions, there are some personal touches to it.

Captain of the Nebraska Huskers Merritt Beason’s cousins came down from far away to cheer their sister. The excitement in them and the other fans was again visible, and they had so much to say for the team.

The Big Ten Volleyball shared a video on their X account, where three of Beason’s cousins are seen talking to the reporter. One of them drove down from Virginia to be present in the Nebraska Huskers match. and the others were from Alabama. One of them expressed, “We are so proud of her”. Adding a very pure sentiment she added, “Her getting all-American yesterday literally brought tears to my eyes”. When asked if they wished to give any advice to Beason, they responded, “You do you Merritt”.

Along with this, multiple other fans also amassed before the match spilling the beans about their favorite player and so much more. The Nebraska Huskers have got some of the most loyal supporters. They have made their way to the records book with their attendance in the Huskers’ matches. Their support was again visible in this recently uploaded clip.

While the reporter was talking to Beason’s cousins, some other fans of Nebraska Huskers also chimed in for a conversation. They revealed their favorite players on the team. A couple stated they love to watch Lexi Rodriguez. Another fan vouched for Bekka Allik. They also added Laney’s name to their list. They expressed, “They both give a lot of spirit to the team”.

Another admirer of Bekka Allik turned up to the match stating, “I love Bekka Allik, I just love her. I think she’s got a great personality”. All of them were extremely excited to witness the match and were on their toes to witness the Nebraska Huskers win against the Pittsburgh Panthers.
