The intensity of the competition was palpable, with the Tigers sailing smoothly in the early stages, only to falter in containing the Hornets in the first set, which proved to be a turning point in the match.

Facing Delaware in the national championship, Mizzou exhibited poise on the big stage. Outside hitter Janet deMarrais led the charge with 13 kills and 15 points, complemented by Jordan Iliff’s impressive performance with 10 kills and three aces.
