The Wisconsin Badgers Women’s Volleyball Team fared against Jackson State in the first round of their NCAA postseason campaign. The Badgers completely crushed their opponents in the 30 November matchup, as they advanced to the next stage.
The Badgers made quick work of their opponents and secured a victory just like any other day in the regular season. In fact, the Badgers were more intense in their NCAA Playoffs opener. Needless to say, the Wisconsin Badgers won via a massive clean sweep.

Wisconsin Volleyball showcased the readiness of its women’s team via a quirky tweet on its official X account. The tweet carried the caption, “See y’all tomorrow.” The Badgers are known for sending their opponents back home after defeating them with overwhelming clean sweeps. While many teams won their NCAA postseason opener via clean sweeps, the Badgers went ahead and demonstrated an even clean sweeping specimen.

The Wisconsin Badgers punctured infinite holes into the defense of Jackson State. It didn’t even yield ten points in the second set. The Badgers claimed a splendid win with scores of 25-18, 25-9, and 25-18. Winning by such a great margin, the Wisconsin Badgers sent the perfect message to the entire NCAA, showcasing what they’re capable of. The Badgers didn’t just win big but also posted almost double the numbers in every domain.

The Wisconsin Badgers dominated Jackson State in every part of the match. While Wisconsin scored 46 kills, Jackson State could only manage 25. Jackson State also failed to maintain a decent hit rate, which plummeted to -0.3 percent in the second set.
The Wisconsin Badgers also showed better teamwork, as they accumulated 45 assists in the match while Jackson State could only put up 24 assists. While every member of the Wisconsin Badgers made big contributions to the opening postseason game, Anna Smrek stood out once again. Although she didn’t lead her team in either kills or blocks, she produced good numbers in both domains. While Sarah Franklin led the Wisconsin Badgers with 12 kills, Smrek landed 8 kills of her own.
