The women’s team of Nebraska Huskers Volleyball just defeated the Michigan Wolverines in their final home turf match of the regular season. This exalted the unbeaten winning streak of the Huskers to a staunch 26 victories. While Nebraska has sealed their home campaign with an impeccable result with the win, their latest statement says they still have a lot to do.

A recently uploaded social media post showcased the women of Nebraska Huskers Volleyball speaking with the media. Despite the perfect season, a Nebraska player revealed to the press that their job is still not over. In fact, she clearly mentioned that the Nebraska Huskers are aiming for the Big 10 Championships straightaway.

Merritt Beason reveals Nebraska’s ambitious plans

The Nebraska Huskers recently defeated the Michigan Wolverines in a second clean sweep this season. Following the win, Nebraska’s Merritt Beason and Harper Murray appeared for a press conference with the media. Big Ten Volleyball tweeted a small clip from the interview on its official X account, showcasing a strong statement by Beason.

Merritt Beason said, “I mean, we’re focused on Iowa on Sunday. We wanna win the Big 10 outright and we’re not done with our season yet. So, we’re just staying locked in on what’s ahead and we haven’t accomplished our goals yet.”  The strong words of Beason displayed the fierceness and fortitude Nebraska Huskers Volleyball carries.

However, her bubbly vibe escaped in front of the press when Murray complimented her answer by saying, “Good answer.” A journalist joined in on the fun and asked if she had rehearsed her answer, to which the duo said “Five minutes ago” and let out a hearty laughter. While Harper Murray and Merritt Beason enjoyed a wholesome moment with the press, they will now prepare for their final road trip of the regular season.

The last ride and a golden chance for an easy playoffs

The recent press conference clearly revealed that the women’s team of Nebraska Huskers Volleyball isn’t just going to be content with the NCAA titles. Their final road trip has three matches, where they’ll face Iowa Hawkeyes, Wisconsin Badgers, and Minnesota Golden Gophers. 

While a flawless finish for Nebraska seemed difficult earlier, recent developments hint that the Huskers may easily achieve this milestone. Although no team has found an answer for Nebraska’s tenacity, their arch-rivals, Wisconsin, recently faced its third regular season loss.
