Ally Batenhorst, a former standout for the Huskers, made waves in January when she transferred to USC, leaving behind her Nebraska red after three stellar seasons. Just weeks ago, it was announced that the star outside hitter would be returning to her roots in Nebraska.
Batenhorst grabbed headlines on November 25 at the 2024 Pro Volleyball Federation Draft, where she was picked #15 overall by the Omaha Supernovas. In an interview with Ana Bellinghausen, she shared her excitement: “I’m so excited and just ready to get back to Omaha, back to Nebraska.”
For her, this return is more than just volleyball—it’s about coming home. “My entire family’s from there, and I just have so many memories there…” she reflected.
