Nebraska Huskers and TikTok—now that’s a love story everyone’s talking about, right? But here’s the kicker: that romance might be on the rocks. The U.S. Supreme Court seems to suggest that TikTok could be banned or forced to sell by January 19, all due to national security concerns. Of course, there are questions about TikTok’s relations with its Chinese owner ByteDance and whether the app’s got some shady data-sharing connections with the Chinese government. FBI Director Chris Wray didn’t sugarcoat it: TikTok is a national security risk because, under Chinese law, they might have to turn over data or become state assets.

Lawmakers are worried about China’s control over ByteDance too. The FBI and NSA are ringing bells about its surveillance, data harvesting, and influence-peddling capabilities. And let’s be real, some folks are nervous about the data collection, the algorithm, and whether the content is being altered. Of course, TikTok is in denial, claiming that they have never provided U.S. user data to China. But here’s the twist—Nebraska Huskers’ volleyball star is worried that this whole ban thing might just mess up her TikTok game.

First, she dropped a video showing her lipsyncing to an audio, throwing up a caption that said, “So tiktok is getting banned? Here comes my drafts…” while tagging it with, “Guys I’m crying.” In her second post, things got even more wild.

The Nebraska Huskers star was straight-up losing it, going totally bonkers, and the caption read, “Me everytime I see anything about the tiktok ban…” She even added a lil’ note in the caption, saying, “Someone stop this from happening please.” It’s like she couldn’t hold it in, and we were right there with her.

More than 268k people are following her and she has received more than 18 million likes; she has the Nebraska fans all hooked up. Her TikToks are like a behind the scenes of all things, from assembling a senior night gift bag for Lexi Rodriguez to doing shout-outs to her and even fun videos with her before Lexi’s team takes the court for their first game in the LOVB league. But Maisie has been all over it, making sure that those Husker fans are well informed. But hold up, guess what? She’s not the only Nebraska star vibing on TikTok and keeping the fans entertained!

Another Husker, another TikTok star!

Well, it appears that Maisie Boesiger won’t be the only one who will be sad about this TikTok ban news. Another Nebraska Huskers star, Harper Murray, is absolutely in love with TikTok as well. Over the past few months, during the NCAA season, she has been updating her fans with everything from team shots to behind the scene sneak peeks. Get this: imagine one of the best volleyball coaches, a competitive match, and then boom–TikTok moments. The duo is sitting together on a team bus and, by their appearance, one might think that the two just had an argument, captioned, “Me and coach after yelling at each other during the game,” and the best part? The scene continues with Coach Cook completely unaware of what is going on, Harper happily videotaping them. But wait, you may be thinking that is the end of it, but no, it is not. Coach Cook finally ratted himself out by stating that he did not even realize he had TikTok installed on his phone! How Harper does it, one can only guess, but he’s on board with it if the fans are a fan of it. His first time going viral was in September and that video alone got over 248k views, and now he is gradually building up his TikTok popularity.

The account has over 8600 followers and almost 74k likes, and he is on his way to becoming the next social media celebrity in Lincoln. His reaction? Coach Cook had a good laugh about it, commenting, “I’m getting a heck of a lot of views. … Must be a lot of people watching TikTok, not having much to do!” So, with the TikTok ban news breaking, it’s safe to say these Nebraska Huskers stars are probably feeling a bit disappointed.
