The Kentucky Wildcats Women’s Volleyball team opened their NCAA postseason against the Wofford Terriers. The Wildcats dominatingly prevailed over the Terriers, as they didn’t allow them any foothold during the entire match.
The Kentucky Wildcats completely crippled the offensive capabilities of the Wofford Terriers in their postseason fixture on 30 November. The Wildcats completely flattened Wofford with a clean sweeping win to advance to the second round of the tournament.

The Kentucky Wildcats is a powerhouse team that has dominated several big teams in the NCAA. Staying true to that, the Wildcats harvested a gigantic win in their postseason opener. Kentucky Volleyball made a post on Instagram to celebrate the victory of its women’s team. The post carried the caption, “Waltzing into Round 2. See you tomorrow, #BBN.”

The Wofford Terriers failed to create any impact in the match, while Kentucky made mincemeat out of their defense. On the other hand, the Terriers failed in the offensive department as well, as Kentucky halted them below 20 points in all three sets.
The Wofford Terriers worked hard to earn a spot in the playoffs, but their journey ended with scores of 17-25, 15-25, and 16-25. The Kentucky Wildcats worked with each other in perfect harmony in the NCAA postseason opener. In fact, every player seemed to be working like a cog in a well-oiled machine.

The players of the Kentucky Wildcats fired on all cylinders and in perfect sync. Because of this, while the players of Wofford struggled to make an impact, every Wildcat posted good numbers on the scoreboard for their team. Brooklyn DeLeye, Elise Goetszinger, and Reagan Rutherford scored 13, 12, and 8 kills respectively to shoulder the responsibility of the offense of Kentucky.
On the other hand, the defensive responsibility was shared by all players of the team. Because of this, Kentucky managed to set up an elaborate defense without blocking a lot of shots. The only department that seemed to have a true leader, was assists, where Emma Grome led her team.

While the Wildcats posted 43 assists together, Emma Grome had set up 38 of them for her team. With a clean sweeping win of this caliber, fans will have even more expectations from the Kentucky Wildcats. Moreover, the women of Kentucky would themselves expect to perform strongly in the second round of the NCAA Women’s Volleyball Championship.
