He penned, “Next year, Nebraska will have 20 straight years with a transfer on its roster, but never more than two at a time. For those who want to throw Cook’s post-national title match comments in his face, there is a difference between building through the portal and supplementing.”

In his career as Nebraska Huskers head coach, John Cook will create an undeniable streak of 20 years next year, adding transfers to the team’s roster. The major reason behind this is that the coach believes in building an impactful team through a portal. In an exclusive interview with si.com, John Cooks commented, “I like what we’re doing,...I like recruiting kids and trying to make them be great.”
Unlike eliminated teams, Nebraska Husker players did not jump directly into the transfer portal after the conclusion of the National Championship. The major reason for awaiting is that Nebraska has no seniors this year and was about to welcome freshmen Skyler Pierce and Olivia Mauch. But these are not the only additions to the team.
