Texas Longhorns took all the spotlight this year at the end of the NCAA season. With a clean sweep over the fierce Nebraska, they defended their title while avenging their defeats to the Huskers. Once again, Texas Longhorns are making waves in collegiate volleyball. But, this time, it is because of reasons beyond the court.

While most of the Longhorns are preparing for the upcoming season, the newly added 2025 class recruit on the team is celebrating a huge achievement way before getting added to the team. Despite being a volleyball and basketball player, the new recruit has accomplished big goals as a part of high school.

Scoring big before getting added to the Texas Longhorns roster

2025 class recruit Taylor B. Harvey is currently on the volleyball roster of high school Bountiful. Recently, Taylor accomplished a massive achievement of completing 1000 kills in volleyball matches as a part of the volleyball team. Taylor has already opted for her dream team, the Texas Longhorns, way before graduating from high school. Therefore, to celebrate this victory, she took it to her Instagram account and posted a couple of photos. Along with the pictures, she penned, “Hook ’em Texas volleyball.

Although Taylor still needs to be added to Longhorn’s roster, she will be an impactful addition to the 2025 recruiting class. Apart from the Bountiful High School volleyball team, Taylor is also a part of the U19 National Volleyball team. Notably, 1000 kills is not the only achievement for Taylor. She has been part of the national team at the 2023 FIVB U21 World Championship while securing the 6th position in the tournament. But Taylor is not the only volleyball player added to the team way before passing out.

Texas going strong in recruiting the class of 2025

Texas Longhorns are already loaded with talented players such as Maddisen Skinner and Asija O’Neal, but there is still room for improvement. Therefore, the team is frequently adding impactful players to the team’s roster from the recruiting class. Apart from Middle blocker Taylor B Harvey, the Texas Longhorns will welcome two more players to the team’s roaster.

Interestingly, Callie Krueger, a libero, and Abby Vander Wal, an outside hitter, are already signed to be added to the team. Kreuger will be filling the position of both setter and libero on the team. Currently, she is approaching her junior season at Cedar Park High School. On the other hand, Vander is among the best youth attackers in the country, and she is beginning her junior year as a part of Timothy Christain High School.
