After clinching the spot in the NCAA Sweet-16 spot, the Texas Longhorns made it to the top-8 by defeating Texas A&M (3-0), SMU (3-0), and Tennessee (3-2) along the way. Along similar lines, Texas Longhorns has added another win to its collection by defeating Stanford at the NCAA Top 8 showdown on 10th December.

In a recent showdown, the second-seeded Longhorns avenged an early-season loss to top-seeded Stanford 3-1 in the regional final Saturday at Maples Pavilion in Palo Alto, California. Following this, Texas will now play against Wisconsin on Thursday in Tampa, Florida. It’s the 15th time in school history that Texas has made it to the national semifinals.
Sharing the incredible winning spree of Longhorns, Texas Volleyball took to its X handle and penned, “We’ll see you in Tampa.” Texas clinched 25-16 in the first set, leaving Stanford to find their feet on the court.
However, in the following set, Texas was overpowered by the opponent team Stanford by 25-15. Texas Longhorns could emerge victorious in the event by clinching the last two sets of the enthralling showdown by 19-25 and 22-25.
