Texas A&M Aggies Volleyball team is taking long strides to mark their resurgence in the ongoing NCAA championship. With hopes to ace the tournament given their recent defeat and ongoing rivalry against Texas Longhorns, they are looking to amplify the team. In lieu of this, Texas A&M has signed a new talent to the 2024 signing class.

The Aggies recently welcomed their newest member Amare Hernandez to their team with a heartfelt welcome. Hernandez took to her Instagram to mark her official addition to Aggieland. Let’s take a look at the post.

Texas A&M head coach welcomes Hernandez

Jamie Morrison, who serves as head coach of Texas A&M volleyball, recently announced Hernandez’s addition to the 2024 signing class Tuesday. Welcoming Hernandez, he remarked, “Our goal at Texas A&M is to bring exceptional people that have the potential to play the game we love at the highest level, and Amare [Hernandez] is just that.”

Further on, he underscored her potential for displaying a dominant arm that can solidify the position of the Texas A&M players. He exclaimed that the team is very excited to have her onboard. The recent appearance of A&M in the NCAA tournament was the first one since 2019. However, given their defeat to the Longhorns, he is ready to welcome the local talent posed by Hernandez. And, Morrison is ready to go the full way with Aggies to take great leaps.

Amare Hernandez is ready to play with the Texas Aggies

Amare Hernandez recently posted a series of pictures on her IG handle @a.marehernandez sporting the Texas A&M jersey. The jersey has the no. 14 on it. She delivered the pictures in great style, wearing the cowboy hat, that depicts her zeal and charisma. Hernandez captioned the post as “Gig ’em #officialvisit.” Hernandez, who hails from McAllen, Texas, is all set to become a part of the program in the latter part of 2024. She has a range of accomplishments on her record. Throughout her school career, she culminated with more than 1500 kills. Not only this, she also secured the title of 2022 District Hitter of the Year.

In addition to this, across both the 2021 and 2022 seasons, Hernandez rose to the top as First-Team All-District. She also simultaneously earned accolades including Freshman Newcomer of the Year in 2020 and Blocker of the Year honors in 2021. Hernandez is undoubtedly a strong player and an outside hitter, with the potential to revolutionize Aggies’ performance and grip in the domain of volleyball.
