The FIVB Road to Paris Olympics Volleyball Qualifying Tournament is underway. Team USA is coming closer to concluding their Volleyball Olympic qualifier journey. While registering back-to-back wins against the countries from the pool, it has been a clean sweep for Team USA. They have dominated their pool, showing great promise. They will be looking forward to taking it further to the finals.
The USA Volleyball posted a happy tweet about the fourth consecutive victory of Team USA at the Paris Olympics qualifier. They defeated Tunisia in all the sets of the game. Having reached closer to the goal of qualifying for the Olympics, Team USA is making sure that the streak lives on throughout the tournament.

In the 4th match of pool B, maintaining its unbeaten streak, Team USA defeated Tunisia claiming all the sets. US once again proved its dominance as they thrashed Tunisia 25-11, 25-12, 25-14 in the game. They now sit atop the table of Pool B while Slovenia is a near second. Tweeting about the Tunisia match, USA Volleyball official X account posted, “Happy hump day! 🐪 The U.S. Men 🇺🇸 💪 improved to 4-0 with 3 matches to go on Wednesday at the Road to Paris Olympic Qualifier in Tokyo.” It also acknowledged how Kyle Ensing and Thomas Jaeschke led the U.S. scoring.

Meanwhile, a new starting line-up was seen for the match against Tunisia. Head coach John Speraw went with Jeff Jendryck and Taylor Averill starting as the middle blockers while Garrett Muagututia and Thomas Jaeschke started as the outside hitters. Micah Christenson started as the setter and Erik Shoji and Matt Anderson as libero and opposite, respectively.
In the second set, they opened the route for Micah Ma’a, Kyle Dagostino, and Kyle Ensing. It was a clean sweep in an absolute way. Ensing was the highest scorer of the game with nine kills and four blocks. Shoulder-in-shoulder, Jaeschke contributed to the team with ten points from eight kills, one block, and one ace.

World’s Top 24 Nations participated in the Olympic qualifiers and six of them will clinch the golden ticket for the Olympics. The nine-day event was hosted by three cities: Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Tokyo (Japan), and Xi’an (China). Twenty-four teams were divided into three pools, with eight teams in each. Team USA shares the leading spot with Slovenia at a close second in Pool-B.

Every single player was impeccable on the court and scored the winning points that helped USA dominate the game over Tunisia. The team was focused and consistent, and every player was putting their best foot forward. It was a solid team performing well in defense. The qualifying journey is almost nearing its end with USA showcasing a consistent gameplay and a winning mindset.

Their next challenge is Slovenia, the top seeding team in the pool. The match against another top-seeding team is the perfect challenge for the team to dig in and conquer. With the clean sweep against Tunisia, Team USA has shown its potential, but the journey is yet to be completed.
