Purdue Boilermakers Volleyball Star Player Racks Yet Another Record to Her Name as Team Advances to Sweet 16

Purdue’s Volleyball team has been under the spotlight since the beginning of the NCAA Tournament. Soon after entering the NCAA volleyball turf, Purdue Boilermakers started to dominate the championships with a remarkable beginning. On day one of the event, Purdue’s volleyball team faced off against Fairfield in the round 1 battle. Eventually, team Purdue defeated the opponent team with a clean sweep, 3-0.

But, this is not the end of Purdue’s dominance at the NCAA Tournament. On Day 2 of the event held yesterday, Purdue Boilermakers added another win to their collection by defeating the team Marquette. However, this is not the only triumph Purdue’s volleyball team will be celebrating today. Interestingly, one of the key players of the team has etched her name in the records of the NCAA Tournament.

Taylor Anderson’s record-breaking digs

The recent tweet by Purdue Volleyball was captioned as “Most assists by a Big Ten player this season  Most by a D1 freshman this season Purdue record in the NCAA Tournament  And totaled a career-high 16 digs Taylor Anderson went off yesterday.” One of the major reasons for Purdue’s dominance on the court is its outstanding player, Taylor Anderson.

Notably, Taylor not only recorded the highest No. Of assists in the history of Purdue at the NCAA Tournament but also contributed 16 career-high digs to the team’s total this season. In addition to this, Taylor recorded a total of 60 assists in breaking Purdue’s NCAA Tournament in yesterday’s match.

While competing with the team Marquette, Purdue’s outstanding player featured a remarkable hitting percentage of .625 and 16 digs. In contrast to this, Taylor contributed 4 digs to the team’s total in the match against Fairfield. Now, Taylor is aiming to help her team get into the top 8 teams and round 3 of the NCAA.

Directly after showing prowess on the volleyball turf, team Purdue has made it to the top 16 teams at NCAA. As the event is a single-match tournament, which means there is only one chance to remain in the game, which is to win each showdown, Purdue is required to overcome intense pressure throughout the event.
